Dayna Kurtz, known to bring rowdy bars into reverent silence by the end of her first song, plays at the Lord Leebrick Theatre. Her new album, Postcards From Downtown, is a stepping stone among many for this singer/songwriter; she's been featured on NPR's "Morning Edition;" she was voted "Female Songwriter of the Year" by the National Academy of Songwriters in 1997; and she was picked up by Bug Music, the recording company for Johnny Cash, Los Lobos, Buddy Guy and others. See Monday Calendar.
